Class Description: Create a truly original book showcasing your painting, collage and book-making
techniques. This class is perfect for anyone excited to explore a different twist on a
creative book structure.
Originally created by Hedi Kyle, the traditional flag book has small panels that cross each
other when the book opens and closes. In my modified version all of the panels sit in
alignment, and when the book is open, your original, hand-decorated tags are on display.
Session 1: Overview of project and inspiration • Painting & prep of covers/collaging
of tags
Session 2: Final assembly and embellishment of book/share work
