Membership/Donations

All membership dues are renewable by December 31 to cover one calendar year from January through December, and to be included in the Membership Directory. New members who join on or after October 1st shall pay dues applicable for that calendar year and shall be considered a member in good standing through December 31 of the following year.

We also offer a $25 student one-year membership and a $50 subscription to End Papers, the San Diego Book Arts Newsletter (available only to public, private, and school libraries).

Donor Opportunities

Donate to San Diego Book Arts. Your support helps us to improve and expand our efforts to serve as an educational and creative resource for the community and to advance the book as a vital contemporary art form. Donors receive all privileges of membership, and as San Diego Book Arts is a nonprofit organization, contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. A letter of confirmation and appreciation will be issued promptly upon receipt of donation.

Get the most for your membership! Many people have asked why they can’t simply join during any month of the year and have their membership dues amortized for the number of months remaining until January. While this seems sensible in general, it is too unwieldy a process for a lone, volunteer (Membership Chair) to manage. In an effort to promote new membership sign-ups and renewals for each January we make a point of promoting all the members only workshops, tours, and other members benefits beginning in winter and continuing throughout the year.
